Career Path
His academic background laid the foundation for this interdisciplinary approach: after studying law at Ruhr University Bochum, where he built a strong foundation in civil and commercial law and developed a specialization in criminal law, he went on to complete a postgraduate Master of Laws (LL.M.) in Forensics, Criminology and Law at Maastricht University. There, he specialized in particular in European anti-money laundering law (AML) and forensic fact analysis.
Mr. Reick completed his legal traineeship at the Hanseatic Higher Regional Court of Hamburg and successfully passed the Second State Examination. During this time, he already gained valuable practical experience in business law matters at a leading international commercial law firm, as well as at a highly specialized boutique law firm for white-collar criminal law in Hamburg and Berlin. Before joining our firm, he also worked in project-based legal advisory services for an internationally active law firm, where he supported large-scale proceedings at the intersection of data protection law and commercial law. Beyond his legal expertise, Mr. Reick demonstrates leadership and initiative as a founding and board member of a non-profit association.
